We have been cleared to see patients for routine office visits. However, there is a “new normal.” In order to follow state and local guidelines, we will space our patients out a little more, have a limited number of people in the office at any one time, mask up, disinfect frequently, limit our patients touching frames, minimize paperwork, and using telemedicine when appropriate.
We will still need to be very flexible, and if this virus makes a comeback, we will likely have to curtail our care once again. We will follow the CDC guidelines. If your appointment was cancelled, we will reach out to you and arrange a visit.
If you have been sick, running a fever or having a cough, please consider not coming in yet unless it’s an emergency. As always, the safety of our patients and staff is foremost in our minds. Thanks for understanding, and we were glad to have been able to help the many patients who did have to come in for urgency eyecare during April and early May. To date, none of our patients or staff has tested positive for COVID-19.Brian P. Sumner, O.D.
